Fun on a Glacier

Glissading: Glissading is the usually voluntary act of descending a steep slope of snow in a controlled manner either for the sheer thrill of the ride or to bypass tedious scree.

Last night we went on a hike w/ friends Rick & Rachel.  Drove about an hour from downtown Denver.  Alice, CO.  Hiked to get to St. Mary's Glacier.  So gorgeous.  Chilly up there!  Glacier-fed lake that Doug & Rick found a randomly abandoned canoe by, so they naturally took it out for a spin on the lake.  It was pretty cool that we were the only ones up there.  Threw snowballs in July.  Climbed up the snow and "GLISSADED" down, like skating, or sledding in Doug's case...haha.  Nature's playground.
