We made a spur-of-the-moment camping trip this weekend to Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI, about 40 miles north of where we live. Some friends went with us, the Buffingtons, and we had a good time Friday night hanging out around the bonfire and Saturday morning hiking up the East Bluffs to see the Balanced Rock and the Devil's Doorway. Frank hiked up the whole thing and LOVED it! You say poor Frank---we say poor Mountain! jk It was a workout but absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous!
