Sarah's New Year's Resolutions 2008

A goal means nothing if not written down, and you're more likely to achieve your goals if others hold you accountable to them, so here goes! (Thanks for the inspiration and idea to put my goals on my blog, Tara!) Ok, these are divided into different categories, and some are *top secret*, but work with it here:

Physical Goals:
  • Lose 36 lbs by the end of 2008
  • Work out every day (M, W, F jogging, Tues body sculpting class, Th & Sat turbo kick class)
  • Eat vegetables every day (ok, this is sad, but many-a-day passes where I don't eat any veggies!)
  • Cut back on soda intake to none by the end of 2008
  • Remember to take vitamins every morning

Spiritual Goals:

  • Study Conference Ensign or Scriptures every morning before work
  • Be consistent with couple prayer
  • Attend the temple once a month

Financial Goals:

  • *top secret* :)

Career Goals:

  • Take on more decision making responsibility and exude more confidence at work
  • Take over all contract & policy delivery appointments with clients by the end of 2008
  • Develop skills within myself to transition towards Director of Operations role by end of 2008. Read at least one leadership book per month.

Family Goals:

  • Achieve a healthier and more consistent weekly schedule so we have more energy for workouts and Doug has more time for studying
  • Be able to visit friends & family in Utah one week in 2008
  • Be able to visit Melyssa in Boston one weekend in 2008
  • Be able to visit Aubrey in Phoenix one weekend in 2008
  • Read at least one book for fun each month
  • Have company over for dinner every Sunday night
  • Teach Frank come, outside, stay, down, rock (shake), roll over, play dead, turn around, and dance.
Sweet! So now everybody who reads this has to keep me accountable to achieving these goals! I've already got a couple done on the list and many of the day-to-day things are underway. I hope you can become the best you in 2008! Happy New Year!
